# Revision entry

> One field's old and new value in a revision

A revision entry records one field's change: its value before and after a
[revision](https://docs.plane.com/reference/revisions/object.md). Fields are named by their key, which
never changes. You see an entry only when you can read both the resource it
changed and that field. Archiving a field hides its history with it until it
is restored.

### Attributes

**id** `string`

Unique identifier for the entry, e.g. `rve_3Kd9P`.

**object** `string`

Always `revision_entry`.

**revision** `string | object`

The revision the change belongs to. Its ID by default; request
`expand[]=revision` for the revision object, with its `actor`, `via` and
`reason`.

**workspace** `string`

The workspace the entry belongs to.

**subject** `string`

The ID of the resource that changed, such as a worker or record.

**attribute** `string`

The key of the field that changed, such as `number`.

**before** `any`

The field's value before the change, in its JSON form. Null if it had none.

**after** `any`

The field's value after the change, in its JSON form. Null if it was
cleared.

**applied** `string | null`

When the change was written.
