# The Member object

> A workspace access member.

A Member is an existing workspace access seat. Create, list, and retrieve return the same
Member fields:

`name` is the Member's display name. `email` is their preferred email address,
or null when they have none. `roles` contains effective access roles; internal
worker roles are excluded.

The first customer-owner recipient is created as an Admin. Ownership changes
only after verified invitation acceptance, using the existing partner association
and inherited workspace owner. The Member response does not include ownership
or invitation state.
