# Get an attribute

> Get workspace attributes.

Requires Objects enabled and a verified administrator. Reads require `object_types:read`; writes require `object_types:write`.

### Agent proposals

Attribute request tools create unapplied Changesets using `object_types:read` and `object_types:request`. A permitted person reviews and applies them. Create the object type before proposing its attributes, then create records after their fields exist.

### Returns

Returns the attribute definition.
