# Ask your AI app to make changes, with limits you set

> Admins can now let a connected AI app do more of the work, not just the research: approve payroll items, approve or reject an expense report, give a team member a bonus, and more. Each connection gets only the permissions you give it.

A **toolset** controls which tools a connected AI app can use. You set its
permissions: read workers, write expense reports, and so on.

Every connected AI app uses a toolset. The default Plane
[connector](https://docs.plane.com/guides/mcp) is read-only, which is a safe
default, and now you can configure your own from
[*Developers > Toolsets*](https://manage.plane.com/toolsets).

Each toolset has its own URL to share, so the people you share it with
connect to the one that fits their work. A toolset never grants anyone access
they do not already have.
